Exploring Driftwood Beach

Jan 31, 2024

We had a great time visiting scenic driftwood beach on beautiful Jekyll Island. It's on the atlantic coast and the sea has slowly pushed the beach back over what used to be forest. The result is a beach covered in dead trees and driftwood. Walking along the beach felt like walking through a forbidden forest of sorts, except the sun and sand and sea made it all so scerene.

Kids Heading to Stump Island
The kids enjoyed running to and from the "stump island". Needless to say Eames got soaked :). The tide was slowly going out so the island eventually connected to dry ground.

Heffe is the name of our family mascot. He's a purple and green giraffe anigurumi I made for the kids. He enjoyed visiting the beach with us.
